Two directors of Silver Bells Academy in Uasin Gishu County have been arrested for administering fake Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) exams to 23 students. The incident occurred in Moiben Constituency, where authorities say the school is not registered with the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).
The discovery came after a concerned parent noticed suspicious activities at the school and reported it to the authorities. Moiben Deputy County Commissioner Duncan Okwach confirmed on Wednesday, October 30, that an investigation revealed students had been taking fake KPSEA exams instead of the official assessments, which began nationwide on Monday.
KPSEA is a standardized assessment for primary school students across Kenya, administered by KNEC. All schools conducting these exams must be registered with KNEC.
