Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested a key suspect in the ongoing investigation into the murder of Willis Ayieko Onyango, the former Human Resource Manager at Wells Fargo. The suspect, identified as Fredrick Otieno Omondi, was apprehended yesterday Monday, November 4, in the Elgon area of Kisumu.
Omondi, a bodaboda rider, is suspected to have played a crucial role in the events leading to Onyango’s abduction and murder. According to DCI reports, Omondi provided transportation for Victor Ouma, alias Sisco, to the scene where the abduction occurred. Sisco, who is already in police custody, has been linked to the crime, along with his late brother, Robert Wakolo Okoth, and other suspects yet to be identified.
This arrest adds a new layer to the ongoing investigation as detectives work to piece together the events surrounding Onyango’s tragic death.
