The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) has named Ahmed Farah as its new Chief Executive Officer. The board of directors announced Farah’s appointment, citing his expertise in driving public-private partnerships and enhancing Kenya’s trade systems as key strengths for the role.
Farah who is succeeding Patrick Nyangweso previously served as Kenya’s country director for TradeMark Africa. KNCCI President Erick Rutto expressed confidence in Farah’s leadership, highlighting his track record of attracting international investments to modernize Kenya’s infrastructure and support trade development.
Farah holds a bachelor’s in commerce from Kenyatta University and a master’s degree in international development from the University of Manchester, U.K. His experience is expected to further KNCCI’s mission to represent and advance the interests of Kenya’s business community.
