IEBC’s Dispute Resolution Committee on Sunday cleared Johnson Sakaja to run for Nairobi governorship in the August 9 election.

Sakaja’s candidature has been in limbo following claims that he does not meet the degree requirement for the gubernatorial seat.

The candidate has presented a Degree certificate for Bachelor of Science in Management degree from Team University in Uganda after the University of Nairobi said he did not complete his studies in Actuarial Science.

“We’ve been cleared; we’ll be on the ballot on the 9th of August…we’re in it to win,” he said during a press briefing.
