TikTok has begun a global restructuring of its business that includes layoffs.

The short-form video app, owned by Chinese parent company ByteDance, has already crossed 1 billion monthly active users and thousands of employees worldwide.

Some workers in the US have already been told that their roles are being eliminated, with further reports adding that some in the UK risk losing their jobs in the coming weeks.
